Y/BPS staff members – all YMCA of Greater Boston employees – hold workshops in both English and Spanish and meet individually with families like yours who want to learn about the Boston Public Schools (BPS).

We answer questions about the school system and school choice, explain how and when to visit schools, and help you think about how to find a good school match for your child.

Our workshops are held at YMCAs, libraries, pre-schools, community centers, local businesses, churches and temples, people’s homes, and other locations. We follow up with individual families who want additional information or support.

Y/BPS also provides support to lesser-known schools, improving their ability to inform families about the programs and opportunities at each school.
